How it moves

It arrives on cocoa, rum, petitgrain and mandarin — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. Then the heart turns up — iris, sandalwood, vanilla and cedar — and the whole thing slows down. It dries down to papyrus, coffee, vetiver and sugar cane, close to the skin and hard to forget.
