How it moves

It arrives on thyme, ginger and black pepper — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. Then the heart turns up — lavender, may rose and guaiac wood — and the whole thing slows down. It dries down to black amber, vanilla absolute and myrrh, close to the skin and hard to forget.
