By Kilian Prelude to Love begins with bergamot and neroli, and does not apologise for either.
How it moves
It arrives on bergamot, neroli and coriander — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. Then the heart turns up — orange blossom and jasmine — and the whole thing slows down. By evening it is musk, cedarwood and amber, and it is better for it.
Who made it
Calice Becker composed it in 2010, for By Kilian in France. Subtitled Invitation, an airy neroli and orange blossom cologne-floral from the L'Oeuvre Noire collection.
