Black Saffron
Byredo Black Saffron begins with saffron and juniper berries, and does not apologise for either.

How it moves
It arrives on saffron, juniper berries and cardamom — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. Black violet, raspberry and leather are where it actually lives. The base is vetiver, sueded leather and hinoki wood. That is the bit on your scarf the next morning.
Who made it
Jérôme Epinette composed it in 2012, for Byredo in Sweden. Ben Gorham's ode to India, where his mother was born; saffron and leather over a raspberry-tinged violet heart, composed by longtime Byredo nose Jérôme Epinette.
