How it moves

Lavender, juniper berries, bergamot, tarragon, galbanum, lemon, artemisia and petitgrain hit first, the way an opening line should. Then the heart turns up — basil, clary sage, geranium, nutmeg, neroli, rose, black currant and jasmine — and the whole thing slows down. It dries down to fir, oakmoss, leather, vetiver, styrax, cedar, patchouli and sandalwood, close to the skin and hard to forget.
