How it moves

It arrives on guava, cloves, star anise, passionfruit, peach, cinnamon and ginger — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. By the half hour it has become tobacco, tonka bean, heliotrope, orchid and damask rose. It dries down to cedarwood, sandalwood, patchouli, vanilla bean, benzoin, ambergris and amber, close to the skin and hard to forget.
