How it moves

It arrives on blackcurrant and pear — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. Then the heart turns up — jasmine and orris root — and the whole thing slows down. It dries down to amber, balsam, musk, patchouli and vanilla, close to the skin and hard to forget.
