How it moves

It arrives on cinnamon, nutmeg, mandarin orange and bergamot — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. Then the heart turns up — heliotrope and osmanthus — and the whole thing slows down. It dries down to vanilla, ambergris, white musk, sandalwood, patchouli, leather and agarwood oud, close to the skin and hard to forget.
