Stora Skuggan
Pine
Stora Skuggan Pine begins with pine needles and crushed greens, and does not apologise for either.
How it moves
Pine needles and crushed greens hit first, the way an opening line should. By the half hour it has become pine resin. What is left hours later is clean resins and dark chocolate, and that is the part people follow you for.
Who made it
Tomas Hempel composed it in 2024, for Stora Skuggan in Sweden. Stora Skuggan is a Stockholm collective named after a city park, known for conceptual naturals-driven work. Pine is a soliflore devoted to a single enormous tree.
