How it moves

It arrives on black pepper, lemon, saffron, leather, tolu balsam, thyme, bay leaf and soil tincture — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. By the half hour it has become iris, red pepper, carnation, peony, honey, magnolia and sage. It dries down to patchouli, cashmere wood, labdanum, benzoin, caramel, agarwood oud, tobacco and canadian balsam, close to the skin and hard to forget.
