How it moves

It arrives on rum, cinnamon, pink pepper and black pepper — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. Then the heart turns up — amyris and aldehydes — and the whole thing slows down. The base is guaiac wood, sandalwood, incense, vanilla, tobacco, licorice, coumarin and amber. That is the bit on your scarf the next morning.
