Who copies the most, who charges the least — the twelve houses behind most of the twins.
Behind the thousands of twins in our index stand a few dozen houses — and twelve of them make most of what you can buy. Perfume Parlour covers the most originals, 841. The least expensive, measured per 100ml, is Maison Alhambra at a typical $25.

Two kinds of house
Read the table and two business models appear. Some houses build a catalogue of hundreds of numbered "impressions" in identical bottles — wide coverage, one price. Others make fewer, branded fragrances of their own that happen to be sold as answers to famous originals. The first is a library; the second is a perfume house that knows what sells.
Coverage is not quality. The only way to know which house gets closest is to ask the people who wear them.
Which is best?
Coverage and price are facts we can count. Closeness is not — which is why every dupe page asks the people who have worn it. As the votes come in, this ranking will add the number that matters most: how close each house really gets.
