Rose Noir
Byredo Rose Noir smells like rose petals, and the earth they grew in, with freesia laid over the top.

How it moves
Up top: freesia and aldehydes. Enjoy them; they will not stay. Rose and gaiac wood are where it actually lives. The base is civet, musk and leather. That is the bit on your scarf the next morning.
Who made it
Jérôme Epinette composed it in 2007, for Byredo in Sweden. An early Byredo rose with a deliberately dirty, animalic undertow of civet and musk, launched in 2007.
