How it moves
You meet black currant and saffron at the door. By the half hour it has become rose, cacao and caramel. It dries down to agarwood (oud), leather, vanilla, amberwood, olibanum and patchouli, close to the skin and hard to forget.
Who made it
Jacques Cavallier Belletrud composed it in 2018, for Louis Vuitton in France. From the 2018 masculine launch, Nouveau Monde takes its name from the New World and layers oud against cacao and caramel, an unusually sweet reading of agarwood for a European house.
