Pana Dora Opuluxe begins with saffron and basil, and does not apologise for either.

How it moves

It arrives on saffron, basil, vetiver, clary sage, myrrh, coriander and rosewood — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. By the half hour it has become osmanthus, cinnamon, thyme and carnation. Last to go: suede, musk, benzoin, oakmoss, castoreum and sandalwood.
