How it moves

It arrives on smoke, pink pepper, dried fruits and nutmeg — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. By the half hour it has become vanilla and bourbon whiskey. It dries down to vanilla, black vanilla husk, resins and tobacco, close to the skin and hard to forget.
