Champaca
Geza Schoen put bamboo at the front of Ormonde Jayne Champaca and built everything else to hold it there.

How it moves
The first breath is bamboo, neroli and freesia, and it is loud about it. Then the heart turns up — champaca, basmati rice, green tea and myrrh — and the whole thing slows down. It dries down to musk, vetiver, amber and sandalwood, close to the skin and hard to forget.
Who made it
Geza Schoen composed it in 2002, for Ormonde Jayne in United Kingdom. Built on Indian champaca flower with basmati rice and green tea, it is one of the earliest and best-known rice-note fragrances. A house original from the 2002 launch.
