Fetes Persanes
Honey held up to a lamp, then citrus. Parfums MDCI Fetes Persanes has a sense of occasion.

How it moves
It arrives on saffron and citrus — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. Then the heart turns up — rose, cinnamon and incense — and the whole thing slows down. By evening it is amber, patchouli and musk, and it is better for it.
Who made it
Cécile Zarokian composed it in 2010, for Parfums MDCI in France. Zarokian's spiced oriental for MDCI, inspired by Persian celebrations.
