Vepres Siciliennes
Picture stems snapped between fingers. That is the first ten seconds of Parfums MDCI Vepres Siciliennes.

How it moves
The first breath is galbanum and bergamot, and it is loud about it. The middle belongs to jasmine, ylang-ylang and orris. It dries down to oakmoss, sandalwood and musk, close to the skin and hard to forget.
Who made it
Francis Kurkdjian composed it in 2006, for Parfums MDCI in France. Named for Verdi's opera, Kurkdjian's green-floral chypre for Claude Marchal's house.
