It arrives on lavender, mandarin orange, black currant and petitgrain — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. By the half hour it has become lavender, orange blossom and jasmine. It dries down to madagascar vanilla, musk, cedar and ambergris, close to the skin and hard to forget.
