How it moves

It arrives on saffron and cardamom — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. By the half hour it has become incense, carrot seeds, jasmine sambac and ambrette. The base is vetiver, ebony tree, papyrus and suede. That is the bit on your scarf the next morning.
