Eau de Cologne
Jacques Polge put lemon at the front of Chanel Eau de Cologne and built everything else to hold it there.

How it moves
The first breath is lemon, bergamot, neroli and orange, and it is loud about it. Then the heart turns up — petitgrain, orange blossom and rose — and the whole thing slows down. The base is musk, amber and vetiver. That is the bit on your scarf the next morning.
Who made it
Jacques Polge composed it in 2007, for Chanel in France. One of the 2007 Les Exclusifs de Chanel, the house's straight interpretation of the traditional eau de cologne form.
