It arrives on bergamot, lemon and grapefruit — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. By the half hour it has become labdanum and amber. The base is vanilla, patchouli, sandalwood and musk. That is the bit on your scarf the next morning.
Who made it
Olivier Polge composed it in 2020, for Chanel in France. Polge's tribute to Coco Chanel's Leo star sign and the lion of Venice, an amber-labdanum built for warmth and sillage.
