Vetiver 46
Le Labo Vetiver 46 has been doing this since 2006, and nobody has done pepper better since.

How it moves
Pepper and clove hit first, the way an opening line should. Vetiver, incense and cedarwood are where it actually lives. It dries down to labdanum, gaiac wood and amber, close to the skin and hard to forget.
Who made it
Mark Buxton composed it in 2006, for Le Labo in United States. Mark Buxton's smoky Haitian vetiver for Le Labo's founding line, sharpened with pepper and incense.
