L'Heure Bleue
Guerlain L'Heure Bleue smells like powder and old glamour, with anise laid over the top.

How it moves
You meet anise, bergamot, lemon and coriander at the door. Then the heart turns up — carnation, heliotrope, violet, rose and neroli — and the whole thing slows down. By evening it is iris, vanilla, Tonka Bean, benzoin and musk, and it is better for it.
Who made it
Jacques Guerlain composed it in 1912, for Guerlain in France. Jacques Guerlain composed it to capture the blue hour just before nightfall in pre-war Paris, layering anise and heliotrope over a powdery iris-vanilla base.
