How it moves
Up top: bergamot, lemon and cedar. Enjoy them; they will not stay. By the half hour it has become iris, jasmine, rose and patchouli. It dries down to vanilla, Tonka Bean, opoponax, incense and leather, close to the skin and hard to forget.
Who made it
Jacques Guerlain composed it in 1925, for Guerlain in France. Jacques Guerlain famously poured synthetic vanillin into a bottle of Jicky and created the first oriental, named for the gardens of Shah Jahan. It has been in continuous production for a century.
