Thierry Wasser put saffron at the front of Guerlain Santal Royal and built everything else to hold it there.
How it moves
The first breath is saffron, bergamot and violet, and it is loud about it. By the half hour it has become rose, jasmine, sandalwood and oud. By evening it is sandalwood, amber, leather and vanilla, and it is better for it.
Who made it
Thierry Wasser composed it in 2014, for Guerlain in France. Thierry Wasser's oriental sandalwood was the opening statement of Les Absolus d'Orient, Guerlain's Middle-East-facing exclusive line, later folded into Absolus Allegoria.
