1826 Eugénie de Montijo
Histoires de Parfums 1826 Eugénie de Montijo has been doing this since 2001, and nobody has done bergamot better since.

How it moves
It arrives on bergamot, mandarin and cinnamon — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. Violet, orange blossom and jasmine are where it actually lives. The base is Tonka Bean, vanilla, praline and patchouli. That is the bit on your scarf the next morning.
Who made it
Gérald Ghislain composed it in 2001, for Histoires de Parfums in France. For the last Empress of the French, a warm composition of violet, bergamot and tonka with a soft praline drydown. Imperial and comforting at once.
