1889 Moulin Rouge
It starts on bergamot. It ends, hours later, on amber. Histoires de Parfums 1889 Moulin Rouge is everything that happens in between.

How it moves
Bergamot, pink pepper and raspberry hit first, the way an opening line should. The middle belongs to violet, iris, rose and ylang-ylang. It dries down to musk, vanilla, sandalwood and amber, close to the skin and hard to forget.
Who made it
Gérald Ghislain composed it in 2005, for Histoires de Parfums in France. Named for the year the Parisian cabaret opened, a powdery floral of violet, iris and musk with a faintly risqué warmth. Belle Époque nostalgia by design.
