Iskander
Marc-Antoine Corticchiato put bitter orange at the front of Parfum d'Empire Iskander and built everything else to hold it there.

How it moves
The first breath is bitter orange, bergamot, lemon and petitgrain, and it is loud about it. Then the heart turns up — lavender, geranium and nutmeg — and the whole thing slows down. By evening it is vetiver, cedar, musk and oakmoss, and it is better for it.
Who made it
Marc-Antoine Corticchiato composed it in 2011, for Parfum d'Empire in France. Named after Alexander the Great, a bracing citrus-vetiver built on bitter orange and lavender. The house's cleanest and most classical masculine.
