Al Oudh
Oud, and everything oud implies, then pink pepper. L'Artisan Parfumeur Al Oudh has a sense of occasion.

How it moves
It arrives on dates, pink pepper, cardamom and saffron — bright, immediate, gone before you have decided about it. Underneath, oud, rose, incense and civet settle in and take over. By evening it is castoreum, leather, musk, Tonka Bean and amber, and it is better for it.
Who made it
Bertrand Duchaufour composed it in 2009, for L'Artisan Parfumeur in France. Duchaufour's animalic oud, built with dates, civet and castoreum to evoke a Middle Eastern interior rather than a clean Western oud. Notably dirty for its era.
