Chypre Rouge
Almond, thyme, pine — read like that it sounds simple. Serge Lutens Chypre Rouge is not.

How it moves
You meet almond, thyme and pine at the door. Honey, immortelle, beeswax and patchouli are where it actually lives. The base is oakmoss, vanilla, musk and amber. That is the bit on your scarf the next morning.
Who made it
Christopher Sheldrake composed it in 2006, for Serge Lutens in France. A chypre in name only, dominated by a strange candied almond, thyme and moss accord. One of the most polarising bell-jar releases.
