Nuit de Cellophane
Christopher Sheldrake put mandarin at the front of Serge Lutens Nuit de Cellophane and built everything else to hold it there.

How it moves
The first breath is mandarin and lemon, and it is loud about it. By the half hour it has become osmanthus, jasmine, gardenia and hawthorn. Last to go: musk, amber and sandalwood.
Who made it
Christopher Sheldrake composed it in 2009, for Serge Lutens in France. An osmanthus and mandarin floral wrapped in a deliberately synthetic, cellophane-like sheen. It was Lutens' most commercially approachable release of its era.
