Fumerie Turque
Christopher Sheldrake put Turkish Rose at the front of Serge Lutens Fumerie Turque and built everything else to hold it there.

How it moves
The first breath is Turkish Rose and pimento, and it is loud about it. Underneath, tobacco leaf, honey, beeswax and juniper settle in and take over. It dries down to leather, Tonka Bean, styrax and patchouli, close to the skin and hard to forget.
Who made it
Christopher Sheldrake composed it in 2003, for Serge Lutens in France. Honeyed Turkish tobacco leaf with rose, leather and dried fruit, conceived as the smoke-stained interior of an Istanbul smoking room. Long a bell-jar exclusive before export release.
