Gris Clair
Serge Lutens Gris Clair smells like powder and old glamour, with lavender laid over the top.

How it moves
Up top: lavender and amber. Enjoy them; they will not stay. By the half hour it has become iris, incense and Tonka Bean. By evening it is amber, musk and vanilla, and it is better for it.
Who made it
Christopher Sheldrake composed it in 2006, for Serge Lutens in France. Lavender rendered as cold ash and iris rather than herbal freshness, named for the grey light it evokes. A quiet cult favourite.
