How it moves
You meet ginger, bergamot and pepper at the door. Then the heart turns up — honey, cinnamon and candied ginger — and the whole thing slows down. The base is patchouli, cacao, amber and musk. That is the bit on your scarf the next morning.
Who made it
Christopher Sheldrake composed it in 2008, for Serge Lutens in France. Lutens' take on English tea hour, with ginger, honey and gingerbread over a base of cacao and patchouli. It was inspired by his memory of tea served in Marrakech.
