Cuir Mauresque
Christopher Sheldrake put orange blossom at the front of Serge Lutens Cuir Mauresque and built everything else to hold it there.

How it moves
Orange blossom, mandarin and cumin hit first, the way an opening line should. Styrax, clove, myrrh and nutmeg are where it actually lives. It dries down to leather, musk, cedar and amber, close to the skin and hard to forget.
Who made it
Christopher Sheldrake composed it in 1996, for Serge Lutens in France. A Moorish leather built on styrax, orange blossom and cumin, evoking tanned hides in the souks of Marrakech where Lutens has long lived. Originally a bell-jar exclusive.
