Fleurs d'Oranger
Spice with heat behind it, then cumin. Serge Lutens Fleurs d'Oranger has a sense of occasion.

How it moves
The first breath is orange blossom and cumin, and it is loud about it. Then the heart turns up — tuberose, jasmine and hibiscus seed — and the whole thing slows down. Last to go: white musk, nutmeg and cedar.
Who made it
Christopher Sheldrake composed it in 1995, for Serge Lutens in France. A white-flower bouquet built on orange blossom, tuberose and jasmine with a famously carnal cumin note that divides wearers. It became one of the house's signature florals.
