Tubéreuse Criminelle
A greenhouse in the morning, then eucalyptus. Serge Lutens Tubéreuse Criminelle has a sense of occasion.

How it moves
You meet camphor, eucalyptus and green notes at the door. Underneath, tuberose, orange blossom, jasmine and hyacinth settle in and take over. It dries down to musk, styrax, vanilla and clove, close to the skin and hard to forget.
Who made it
Christopher Sheldrake composed it in 1999, for Serge Lutens in France. Famous for a shocking opening of camphor, menthol and gasoline that clears within minutes to reveal a luminous tuberose. It is perfumery's most discussed first ten seconds.
